TIRANA, June 30 – Albania’s cultural heritage will take center stage in London through the universal language of art as the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet announced that the National Folk Songs and Dances Ensemble will perform in the United Kingdom for the first time.
The performance will take place on July 6 at the Shaw Theatre in London. The ensemble will present an evening that combines Albanian cultural heritage with the inspiration that Lord Byron found during his travels in Albania.
Meanwhile, the audience will experience Albania’s history, traditions and national spirit through traditional songs, dances, authentic costumes and folk music that has fascinated travelers, artists and scholars for centuries.
In addition, the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet said the performance, titled Voice of Heritage, invites audiences to discover Albania through art. It added that the event will serve as a cultural bridge between Albania and the United Kingdom while celebrating the richness of Albania’s national identity.
