Albania Promotes “eTransport” Platform to Improve Public Transport Access for Citizens and Tourists

Albania is expanding its digital public transport services as the summer tourist season increases travel demand across the country.

The General Director of the Road Transport Services Directorate (DPSHTRR), Kreshnik Bajraktari, has launched an intensive information campaign in the field to promote the eTransport platform. The initiative aims to provide fast, accurate, and accessible information on interurban public transport.

The platform connects public transport services with users by offering complete details on routes, schedules, and access options.

Bajraktari visited key entry points into the country, where he met citizens, tourists, and transport operators to explain how the platform works and highlight its benefits.

He first visited the Port of Durrës, one of the main entry gates for tourists. He then continued his visits at Tirana International Airport, as well as the ports of Vlorë and Sarandë.

During these meetings, he listened to users’ experiences, suggestions, and needs regarding public transport services. The information campaign will continue throughout the summer season to improve awareness and usage of the digital system.
