Tirana International Airport Handles Around 300 Flights per Day Amid Expansion

Tirana International Airport “Nënë Tereza” (TIA) has reached around 300 flights per day, marking a record that reflects the continued growth of air traffic in Albania.

Airport officials say that every flight depends on the daily work of ground teams who ensure safe and timely operations. They also stress that even during high-temperature days, staff continue to operate with professionalism and dedication.

TIA states that this record shows a significant increase in operational capacity and efficiency. As a result, the airport strengthens its role as a key aviation hub in the region.

Air traffic growth in Albania continues alongside an expanding network of destinations and improved services. In addition, ongoing investments are upgrading airport infrastructure and increasing operational capacity.

The aviation sector in the country continues to grow in both flight numbers and passenger traffic, while further investments aim to improve service quality and support long-term expansion.
