Foreign Tourists Visit Gjirokastër, Praise Nature, History and Hospitality

Foreign tourists visiting Gjirokastër continue to share positive impressions of Albania, highlighting the country’s natural beauty, rich history, and warm hospitality.

Mirela Kumbaro shared on social media comments from visitors exploring the UNESCO-listed stone city.

Tourists from several European countries expressed admiration for Albania’s landscapes, beaches, and cultural heritage.

A visitor experiencing Albania for the first time said he particularly enjoyed the country’s nature and history and described his visit to Gjirokastër as a memorable experience.

Meanwhile, a Swiss couple said they spent six days traveling across southern Albania. They praised the beaches, natural scenery, traditional cuisine, and the hospitality they encountered throughout their journey.

In addition, another visitor highlighted the country’s culture and the kindness of its people, noting that locals were welcoming and eager to help.

A family from Italy also shared their experience. They traveled from Rome to Albania via Brindisi and began their trip in Vlorë. During their stay, they visited Sarandë, Borsh, and Ksamil before arriving in Gjirokastër.

The family described Gjirokastër as a fascinating destination, particularly because of its history and the impressive Gjirokastër Castle.

As Albania welcomes growing numbers of international visitors, Gjirokastër continues to strengthen its reputation as one of the country’s most attractive cultural destinations.
