Balla Meets Jacksonville Official, Highlights Strong US–Albania Ties

Parliamentary Group Leader of the Socialist Party Taulant Balla received Kevin Carrico, president of the Jacksonville City Council in the United States, at the Albanian Parliament.

During the meeting, both sides discussed cooperation between Albania and the United States, with a particular focus on the role of the Albanian-American community in strengthening relations between the two countries. Representatives of the diaspora from Jacksonville also took part in the meeting, underlining their active contribution to bilateral ties.

Balla stressed that Albanian-American friendship represents a stable and lasting partnership built on shared democratic values and mutual respect.

He also extended greetings to the American people on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, describing the milestone as a historic moment that celebrates one of the world’s leading democracies and its founding values of freedom, democracy, and the rule of law.
