Rama: Fincantieri Deal to Create 500 New Jobs at Pashaliman Shipyard

Prime Minister Edi Rama presents key government developments of the week and highlights a new partnership between Italy’s “Fincantieri” and the state-owned company “KAYO”.

First, he says the agreement strengthens Albania’s defense sector and supports the revival of the country’s military industry. Next, he explains that the partnership expands to the industrial school “Pavarësia” in Vlorë.

In addition, he states that the project prepares future staff for the new Pashaliman naval shipyard. Furthermore, he announces that the shipyard creates around 500 new jobs for technicians, engineers, and IT specialists.

He also says training begins alongside construction and recruitment through “Fincantieri Albania”.

Finally, he notes that selected trainees train both in Albania and at Fincantieri facilities in Italy, building skills through direct cooperation.
