Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha met Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand on the sidelines of the 36th NATO Summit in Ankara to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation.
The two ministers agreed to strengthen political dialogue and create new opportunities for cooperation, with a particular focus on the economy and trade.
Hoxha highlighted the launch of direct flights between Tirana and Toronto, saying they will further boost ties and exchanges between the two countries.
They also discussed the proposed Defence, Security and Resilience Bank, a multilateral financial mechanism designed to support defence, security and resilience capabilities.
Hoxha said the initiative would make an important contribution to advancing their shared objectives.
In addition, the ministers exchanged views on the current security situation in Europe and reaffirmed their unwavering support for Ukraine.
