Kosovo’s Tourism Grows as More Than 44,000 Foreign Visitors Arrive in May

Kosovo’s hotel sector recorded significant growth in May 2026, with the number of visitors increasing compared to the same period last year.

According to data from the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS), hotels across the country welcomed 69,081 visitors in May, including 25,026 domestic tourists and 44,055 international visitors.

Compared with May 2025, when hotels recorded 61,931 visitors, the total number of guests increased by 11.5%.

During the same period, Kosovo’s hotels registered 155,599 overnight stays. Foreign visitors accounted for 88,957 overnight stays, or 57.2% of the total, while domestic visitors recorded 66,642 overnight stays, representing 42.8%.

Meanwhile, the number of foreign tourists increased by 18.1% compared with May 2025. Most international visitors came from Albania, Germany, Türkiye and Switzerland.

The figures highlight Kosovo’s growing appeal as a regional tourism destination and reflect increasing interest from international travelers.
