TIRANA, July 8 – Three fire outbreaks affected the Porto Palermo area in Himarë Municipality overnight, putting emergency structures on alert.
According to official information, authorities received the alert around 23:00. Firefighters immediately sent a fire engine and a water tanker to the scene. Meanwhile, the entire firefighting service was placed on standby, with 2 additional vehicles joining the operation.
Thanks to the quick response and coordination of emergency teams, firefighters brought the flames under control and fully extinguished the fire. A service group remains in the area to monitor the situation and prevent any possible reactivation of the fire outbreaks.
The operation involved the entire firefighting service, Civil Emergency structures, the State Police, Municipal Police, and forestry services.
Authorities have not yet determined the causes of the fire. Competent institutions will carry out further checks to establish how the incident started. No injuries have been reported.
