Beethoven’s masterpiece to take the stage at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet

The National Theatre of Opera and Ballet (TKOB) will present one of the greatest masterpieces in music history, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.

The monumental composition, which has become a universal symbol of brotherhood and hope, will take centre stage during a special artistic evening at TKOB.

Beethoven premiered the Ninth Symphony in May 1824. The composer made history by introducing a choir and vocal soloists into the final movement of a symphony. The four-part work concludes with “Ode to Joy”, where the choir celebrates human unity and brotherhood through Friedrich Schiller’s famous text.

Conductor Facundo Agudin will lead the performance, while Dritan Lumshi will direct the choir. Soloists Eva Golemi, Vikena Kamenica, Amadi Lagha and Armando Likaj will perform alongside the RTSH Symphony Orchestra, the TKOBAP Symphony Orchestra and Choir.

TKOB will bring Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony to audiences on July 14, offering a unique opportunity to experience one of the most iconic works in the global symphonic repertoire.
