Vllaznia comes from behind to beat Malisheva in Conference League opener

Vllaznia fought back to defeat Malisheva 2-1 in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League first qualifying round tie, taking an advantage into next week’s return match.

The visitors made a dream start at Loro Boriçi Stadium, with Xhylani scoring directly from a corner kick in the third minute.

Vllaznia gradually took control of the match and equalised through Qato in the 36th minute.

The turning point came in the 55th minute when Malisheva’s Skovgard received a red card after denying a clear scoring opportunity. One minute later, debutant Musta scored from a free kick to complete Vllaznia’s comeback.

Despite creating further chances, Vllaznia could not add a third goal, and the match ended 2-1. The second leg will take place in Malisheva next week.
