The Art Gallery at Pogradec’s Multifunctional Centre will open “The Drunken City,” a solo exhibition by renowned Albanian painter Anastas Kostandini (Taso), on 18 July at 19:00.
The exhibition will showcase 50 pastel artworks that portray everyday life in Pogradec through nostalgia, humour and the warmth of local traditions.
Inspired by a changing reality and a desire to preserve collective memory, Taso draws on childhood memories, family rituals and the city’s cultural heritage. He also reflects the literary influence of Mitrush Kuteli, presenting scenes that celebrate joy, community and a way of life that is gradually disappearing.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors from 18 July to 1 August, welcoming the public daily from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 18:00 to 20:30 at the Art Gallery of the Multifunctional Centre in Pogradec.
