Kumbaro hails EU negotiation milestone on education and science

Education Minister Mirela Kumbaro welcomed the approval by COREPER to close the first three chapters of Albania’s EU accession negotiations, calling it a major achievement for the country and its negotiating team.

Kumbaro highlighted that two of the three chapters are directly related to the Ministry of Education: Chapter 25 on Science and Research and Chapter 26 on Education and Culture. The third chapter covers External Relations.

She described the milestone as recognition of the work carried out by the negotiating team and the institutions involved in the accession process.

Kumbaro also announced that the Albanian delegation, led by Prime Minister Edi Rama, will travel to Brussels next Tuesday for the Intergovernmental Conference, where Albania will take another important step toward European Union membership.
