Rama says Kanye West concert showcased Albania as a safe destination for major events and investment

Prime Minister Edi Rama said the Kanye West concert demonstrated that Albania can successfully host major international events in a safe and welcoming environment.

He said the event sent a positive message to international visitors and investors by showing that Albania remains a secure destination for tourism, business and large-scale entertainment.

Rama argued that hosting global events strengthens the country’s international reputation, attracts more tourists and encourages foreign investment. He added that investors look for confidence, stability and ambition, in addition to favorable laws and taxes.

Furthermore, he stressed that successful cities compete to host major cultural and sporting events because they generate economic activity, attract visitors and build international prestige.

Rama also said Albania should focus not only on the cost of major events but on the long-term value they create for the economy, tourism and the country’s global image.

Finally, he emphasized that economic growth depends on attracting ideas, people and investment, while ambition and confidence are essential for building long-term prosperity.
