TIRANA, July 13 – Albania’s permanent parliamentary delegation took part in the 51st Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie, held in Yaounde, Cameroon.
Hatixhe Konomi led the delegation, alongside Ilirian Pendavinji and Luçiano Boçi. More than 300 lawmakers from 42 national, subnational and inter-parliamentary sections attended the session. They discussed disinformation, parliamentary ethics, artificial intelligence in parliamentary work and stronger cooperation among Francophone parliaments and international organisations.
Konomi presented the Albanian Parliament’s recent work, highlighting legislative reforms, parliamentary diplomacy and cooperation with international partners. She said the forum offered an important opportunity to exchange experience, share best practices and strengthen the role of parliaments in protecting democracy, transparency and the rule of law.
The session also strengthened interparliamentary dialogue and promoted democratic values among participating countries.
