Albanian flag featured at France’s National Day parade on Champs-Elysee

TIRANA, July 14 – Prime Minister Edi Rama attended France’s National Day ceremony in Paris today at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.

Rama shared images on social media from the July 14 military parade along the Champs-Elysees. The footage showed members of the Albanian Armed Forces marching with the national flag.

Meanwhile, Rama wrote “Proud of Albania” alongside the images, highlighting the participation of the Albanian contingent in the ceremony.

Earlier, the prime minister attended the Coalition of the Willing summit in Paris, also at Macron’s invitation. The meeting brought together heads of state and government, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

In addition, participants discussed international coordination in support of Ukraine. Albania’s participation reaffirmed the country’s commitment to international law, Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. It also reflected Albania’s continued coordination with its Euro-Atlantic allies and partners.
