Shkodër welcomes tourists as visitors explore northern Albania’s cultural sites

TIRANA, July 14 – Shkodër continues to attract local and foreign visitors as its main streets and tourist attractions fill with tourists during the summer season.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images on social media showing a typical morning in the northern city, which has become one of Albania’s most visited destinations.

Meanwhile, landmarks such as Rozafa Castle, the “Marubi” National Museum of Photography, the pedestrian area and the lakeside promenade remain among the most popular sites for visitors.

In addition, many tourists use Shkodër as a starting point to explore natural destinations, including Theth, Valbona and Lake Shkodër. This has strengthened the city’s role as a major tourism hub in northern Albania.

Known as one of the country’s oldest cities, Shkodër also remains an important centre of Albanian history and culture. The city continues to attract visitors throughout the year, especially during the summer season.
