“Sounds That Speak” installation unveiled at Albania’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports inaugurated the artistic installation “Sounds That Speak” by artist Ergys Krisiko.

The artwork previously won a grant from the “Heritage is Our Brand” programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by DMO Albania and the EU Policy Hub/Forum for Integration Policies in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports.

The metal installation, shaped like a traditional flute, also plays the sound of the instrument. Krisiko drew inspiration from the Gramsh flute and the story of Tana, highlighting one of Albania’s valuable elements of intangible cultural heritage.

Through art, the installation brings back the sounds that have carried love, longing, memories and communication across generations.

The inauguration ceremony brought together cultural heritage representatives, EU Delegation officials, project partners, and members of the artist’s team.

“Sounds That Speak” is one of 15 artistic works created through the Heritage is Our Brand project. The installations aim to create lasting value for local communities and preserve Albania’s spiritual heritage.
