Albanian government approves opening of embassy in Dublin

The Albanian government has approved the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Dublin, Ireland, expanding the country’s diplomatic network.

The Council of Ministers adopted the decision under the Law on the Foreign Service of the Republic of Albania, following a proposal by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The government will finance the new embassy through the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs’ 2026 budget under the “Diplomatic Support Abroad” programme and the current expenditure allocation.

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs will oversee the implementation of the decision.

The decision will enter into force after its publication in the Official Gazette.
