The RTSH Symphony Orchestra closed its artistic season with a performance of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
The festive concert featured soloists Eva Golemi, Vikena Kamenica, Amadi Lagha, and Artur Vera. Dritan Lumshi conducted the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet Choir.
RTSH Symphony Orchestra Artistic Director Blerta Ristani praised the orchestra’s work throughout the season. She highlighted its mission to promote classical music and Albanian culture.
Ristani said Beethoven’s masterpiece includes the “Ode to Joy,” the European anthem, and requires a large artistic ensemble for its final movement.
She added that the performance contributed to the positive atmosphere Albania is experiencing during this important period of EU negotiations.
TKOBAP General Director Aulon Naci highlighted the importance of cooperation between cultural institutions. He said such productions enrich cultural life and bring more audiences closer to classical music.
Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, which ends with the “Ode to Joy,” delivered a powerful message of unity, peace, and solidarity. The concert marked a remarkable conclusion to the RTSH Symphony Orchestra’s artistic season.
