Radomira village, 37 kilometers from Dibër, has become a popular destination for mountain and adventure tourism. Environment Minister Sofjan Jaupaj shared images of Black Lake, located in the heart of Korab-Koritnik National Park.
The glacial lake lies among beech and pine forests and offers visitors an untouched natural landscape. The lake covers 0.8 hectares and freezes over in winter. It also has important geological, hydrological, biological, ecological, and cultural value.
A black pine forest surrounds the lake. Because of its unique natural features, authorities have designated it a Natural Monument.
Radomira marks the starting point of the tourist route to Mount Korab, Albania’s highest peak. The village attracts many domestic and international visitors, especially during the summer.
Clean air, natural springs, pastures, and mountain forests give the area strong potential for year-round tourism. With its rich natural resources and location near Mount Korab, Radomira is emerging as one of Albania’s most attractive destinations for adventure tourism.
