TIRANA, July 17 – The Central State Film Archive presented the restored version of the film “The Brave Ones” at Drita Cinema.
The 1970 production by Film Studios “New Albania” returned to the big screen through the “Adopt a Film for Restoration” initiative. The screening presented one of the most appreciated works of Albanian cinema with improved visual and technical quality.
The event brought together artists and cinema enthusiasts. Central State Film Archive Director Eljan Tanini and screenwriter Flamur Topi addressed the audience before the screening.
Tanini highlighted the importance of film restoration in preserving and promoting Albania’s cinematic heritage. He said the process helps preserve works that shaped the country’s cultural memory and allows future generations to access them in higher quality.
Meanwhile, director Gëzim Erebara created “The Brave Ones” in 1970 based on Flamur Topi’s screenplay. Robert Radoja composed the film’s music. Augustus Color restored the film through a digital process.
The film features Artan Santo, Mevlan Shanaj, Edmond Gëzdari, Agim Mujo, Zana Turku, Kujtime Disha, Adrian Devolli, Leonard Dalliu, Bajram Matjani, Niko Hobdari, Tinka Kurti, Demir Hyskja, Sandër Prosi, Skënder Çeka, Lazarin Mazreku, Serxho Pistuli, Myzejen Njala and Xhoxhi Busho.
