The Bylis/Klos Archaeological Park has started conservation works on five of its most important monuments as part of a project focused on protecting and preserving cultural heritage.
The project will restore and stabilize the Theatre of Bylis, the Theatre of Klos (ancient Nikaia), the Cistern, the Justinian Baths, the Prytaneion and Arsenal, as well as Basilica D.
The works aim to preserve the historical and archaeological values of these sites while improving the management of the archaeological park and creating a better experience for visitors.
Bylis and Klos rank among Albania’s most significant archaeological centers, showcasing the history and development of ancient civilizations in the country.
The new investment will protect these monuments and make them more accessible to the public.
The project is part of the “EU for Economic Development – Tourism-led Local Economic Development” initiative, funded by the European Union in Albania and AICS, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports.
