Inspectors from the National Coastline Agency continue daily inspections along Pogradec’s lakeshore to ensure proper management of public beach areas and enforce regulations.
Tourism, Culture and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja shared photos from the inspections on social media.
He said inspectors removed umbrellas placed outside approved concession areas and issued administrative warnings to operators who violated the rules, in accordance with current legislation.
“Public spaces belong to everyone. Respecting the rules ensures a well-managed coastline and lakeshore for citizens and visitors,” Gonxhja said.
The minister added that inspections will continue throughout the summer season.
Authorities have made the protection of public beach areas a key priority. They aim to guarantee free public access to the shoreline and improve the experience for residents and tourists alike.
