Prime Minister Edi Rama announced from Theth that construction of the Dukagjin road will begin within the next two weeks.
Speaking with local residents, Rama said preparing the project required time and careful planning. He stressed that infrastructure projects depend on the country’s economic growth and available financial resources.
Rama said Albania’s gross domestic product has grown from less than €10 billion when his government took office to more than €27 billion. He added that the government aims to increase it to €35 billion to finance more public investments.
He emphasized that attracting investment is essential for economic growth, higher state revenues and improved infrastructure.
Rama also defended foreign investment, saying every country competes to attract international investors to support development.
He concluded by confirming that work on the Dukagjin road will start soon and pledged to deliver a high-quality project.
