Rama Attends Opening Ceremony of Ziraat Bank Branch in Tirana

Albanian and Turkish institutional officials gathered in Tirana today to celebrate the official opening of the new Ziraat Bank branch.

Prime Minister Edi Rama attended the ceremony alongside Turkish Ambassador to Albania Barış Ceyhun Erciyes, Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj, Turkish Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance Abdullah Erdem Cantimur, and Ziraat Bank General Manager Alpaslan Çakar.

As one of Turkey’s largest and oldest financial institutions with over 160 years of history, Ziraat Bank operates an extensive international network and aims to contribute directly to the development of the Albanian banking sector.

Furthermore, the bank’s presence in Albania will strengthen economic cooperation between both nations, support foreign investment and trade, and deliver modern financial products to local businesses and individuals.

Ultimately, the launch of this branch marks a key milestone in deepening Albania–Turkey economic ties while boosting investor confidence across the Albanian market.
