Government and Socialist lawmakers hold review meeting

TIRANA, July 24 – The Albanian government and the Socialist Party parliamentary group are holding a meeting this Friday at the Palace of Brigades.

The participants are discussing government work, political developments and upcoming objectives.

Prime Minister Edi Rama chaires the meeting. He is expected to address government priorities and recent public developments.

Earlier, Rama said on social media that he was preparing his speech for the meeting. He also referred to his planned remarks on the recent “flamingos” protests.

The meeting started with a report from Parliament Speaker Niko Peleshi on parliamentary activity. Socialist parliamentary group leader Taulant Balla is also expected to present issues raised during the discussions.

Ministers, Socialist lawmakers and heads of government institutions are attending the meeting. Participants are also expected to discuss possible changes in cabinet positions and leadership roles in public institutions.

Rama is expected to present objectives for the upcoming period. European integration is also among the issues  to discuss during the meeting.
