Jet Ski blocked in Himara after dangerous sea manoeuvres, operator fined

TIRANA, July 27 – Border Police and the Maritime Police Unit blocked a Jet Ski in Livadhi Bay, Himara, after its rider performed dangerous manoeuvres near the safety zone for beachgoers.

According to the police, citizens at the beach reported that the Jet Ski was moving dangerously close to the designated swimming area. Patrol units identified the watercraft shortly after receiving the report.

The driver, identified by the initials A. L. and a resident of Tirana, had also been reported on social media.
During the inspection, police found that the driver did not have the required documents on board. Authorities issued a fine of ALL 10,000 for the violation and blocked the Jet Ski.

Meanwhile, Border Police said controls will continue along the entire coastline. The measures aim to guarantee maritime safety, prevent violations of safety zones and ensure compliance with navigation rules.
