TIRANA, July 27 – Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Monday that Diella, Albania’s artificial intelligence assistant on the e-Albania public services platform, has handled around 3 million interactions, becoming a digital communication bridge between citizens and the state.
Rama shared an information video presenting Diella’s development and the work behind what he described as one of Albania’s most innovative digital transformation projects.
According to Rama, Diella introduces a new standard in the way citizens interact with public services. He said the project shows that advanced artificial intelligence models can successfully operate in the Albanian language and provide accurate, intuitive and accessible communication for citizens.
Meanwhile, Rama said the project has evolved to address more complex tasks. Diella now integrates the analysis of thousands of legal documents, the processing of complex information, natural language understanding and a 3D visual identity designed to make interactions clearer and more user-friendly.
The prime minister added that each response provided by Diella relies on a combination of language models, artificial intelligence, 3D graphics, speech processing and interaction design.
Rama described Diella as more than a technological product. He said the project represents a new communication model aimed at making relations between citizens and public administration simpler, more efficient and more accessible.
