TIRANA, July 29 – Nikaj-Mërtur has gained fresh attention as one of the Albanian Alps’ distinctive destinations, following new efforts to promote sustainable mountain tourism and strengthen cooperation with local tourism operators.
Prime Minister Edi Rama highlighted the area’s tourism potential in a social media post. He described Nikaj-Mërtur as a destination that combines natural beauty with traditional hospitality to offer visitors a unique experience.
Meanwhile, he said the ALPS project, supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, brought together guesthouse owners, hotel managers and tourist guides to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing mountain tourism.
In addition, Rama said the initiative aims to strengthen dialogue with local stakeholders. He added that closer cooperation would support the sustainable promotion of Nikaj-Mërtur and help unlock its tourism potential.
The Prime Minister also wished citizens a pleasant day in his social media message.
