The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports and the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the University of Tirana have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen the development of human resources in Albania’s tourism sector.
Tourism, Culture and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja and Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Prof. Dr. Esmeralda Kromidha, signed the agreement during an official ceremony.
The partnership aims to create new opportunities for students’ professional training, improve their skills and promote multilingual communication standards in the tourism industry.
Gonxhja said the agreement will help connect education with the labour market and support investment in human capital, which he described as a key factor for improving service quality and ensuring sustainable tourism growth.
The cooperation comes as Albania’s tourism sector continues to expand, increasing demand for qualified professionals.
Through this partnership, institutions aim to prepare young professionals with strong language and professional skills. These graduates will help meet the standards of a more competitive tourism market and contribute to the sector’s future development.
