TIRANA, July 30 – Prime Minister Edi Rama said authorities approved the first permit under the Mountain Package during a meeting of the National Territorial Council.
Rama announced on social media that the permit belongs to the Hasani family from Theth. He said the family decided to invest its savings in its ancestral property and return to Albania.
According to the prime minister, the family plans to live and develop an economic activity in its hometown.
Meanwhile, Rama said the Mountain Package gives heirs a legal framework to restore old family homes. He added that the initiative also allows them to develop inherited land through agritourism, agriculture, livestock farming and agri-processing.
The prime minister described the program as an opportunity to revive ancestral properties and encourage investment in Albania’s mountain communities.
