Armed Forces receive first 40 tactical vehicles made in Albania

TIRANA, July 31 – The Albanian Armed Forces received the first 40 NATO-standard tactical vehicles produced in Albania by Timak Defence.

Defense Minister Ermal Nufi attended the handover ceremony and described the delivery as an important milestone for Albania’s defense industry. He said the vehicles strengthen the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces and demonstrate the country’s growing ability to develop domestic defense production.

Meanwhile, Nufi praised the quality of the vehicles and said they incorporate the latest technology. He added that the Armed Forces now have stronger capacities to carry out operational tasks.

The minister said Albania remains committed to building a modern defense industry capable of meeting the needs of national institutions and fulfilling the country’s NATO commitments. He added that the government also aims to integrate Albanian production into international defense supply chains by meeting the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Nufi described the initiative as a strategic investment in the country’s future. He also announced that the Armed Forces expect to receive another 40 to 50 tactical vehicles before the end of the year.
