Albanian State Police Director General Skënder Hita welcomed a high-level delegation from Italy’s Guardia di Finanza, led by the Commander of Air and Maritime Operations, Major General Joselito Minuto.

During the meeting, Hita praised the cooperation between the two institutions, stressing that the partnership with the Guardia di Finanza has evolved beyond formal institutional ties into a well-established model of trust and collaboration.

According to a statement from the State Police, the cooperation has produced tangible results in the fight against the cultivation of narcotic plants, particularly through intelligence sharing and aerial surveillance.

For his part, Major General Joselito Minuto reaffirmed the Guardia di Finanza’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation and intensifying aerial monitoring operations.

The meeting was also attended by other senior officials of the Albanian State Police, with both sides emphasizing the importance of continued coordination in addressing shared security challenges.
