Residents and local government representatives gathered outside Patos Municipality on Monday to protest a proposal to merge the Municipality of Patos with the Municipality of Fier.

The demonstrators also expressed support for Mayor Fation Duro, who has publicly opposed the proposed administrative merger.

Duro argued that the Municipality of Patos performs at a high level, ranking 10th nationwide in the Municipal Functionality Index and recording the highest level of efficiency among all municipalities in Fier County.
