Firefighters were dispatched to the scene and worked to bring the flames under control and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby areas. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and authorities are expected to investigate the incident to determine its origin.

According to the business owner, Tomian Hysaj, the financial damage caused by the fire is estimated at around 3.5 million lek (approximately 35 million old lek). He has called on the Municipality of Selenicë and state institutions to provide support in coping with the losses.

Arqile Kokalli, Head of Civil Emergencies at the Municipality of Selenicë, said the joint intervention by firefighting teams from Selenicë, Vlorë, and Himarë made it possible to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further. Crews remained at the scene until all active hotspots were fully extinguished and the situation was brought under control.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The fire caused only material damage, while the exact cause of the blaze remains under investigation by the relevant authorities.
