TIRANA, August 5 – The Kakavija border crossing with Greece continues to operate smoothly despite the peak summer travel season. Border Police report normal traffic flow, with no queues or long waiting times for travellers or vehicles.
Meanwhile, officers processed 7,448 travellers during the past 24 hours. Authorities recorded 4,359 arrivals into Albania and 3,089 departures.
In addition, Border Police processed 2,326 vehicles during the same period. The crossing handled 1,289 vehicles entering Albania and 1,037 leaving the country.
According to Border Police, 612 foreign visitors entered Albania for tourism purposes during the past day. The figures show that Kakavija remains one of the country’s main gateways for international visitors during the summer season.
Border Police continue to manage the increased seasonal traffic while ensuring smooth and uninterrupted movement across the border crossing.
