TIRANA, August 6 – More than 349,000 passengers travelled through the Ferry Terminal of Durrës Port during January-July 2026, confirming its role as Albania’s main maritime gateway for passenger transport. The Durrës Port Authority told the Albanian Telegraphic Agency that 349,423 passengers used the terminal during the first seven months of the year.
Of this total, 160,795 passengers departed from Durrës Port to other destinations, while 188,628 passengers entered Albania through the terminal. Meanwhile, July recorded the highest passenger flow, with 112,740 travellers processed. A total of 29,425 passengers departed for other countries, while 83,315 entered Albania. The increased movement reflected the peak of the summer tourism season and the return of emigrants and tourists for holidays.
In addition, the Durrës Port Authority said ferry services to and from Italian ports continue to operate to manage the higher number of passengers. Port structures remain engaged in ensuring smooth operations and providing quality services for travellers throughout the summer season.
