TIRANA, August 7 – Defense Minister Ermal Nufi visited the Naval Vessels Division of Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri in Muggiano as part of cooperation on the Fincantieri Albania project in Vlora.
The Muggiano facility is one of Europe’s leading centers for the construction of naval vessels and maritime defense systems.
During the visit, Nufi examined the company’s ship design, production and integration processes. He also reviewed advanced industrial management practices, quality control systems and the organization of an integrated shipbuilding yard.
Meanwhile, the minister said the visit provided an opportunity to exchange experience and learn about Fincantieri’s best practices. He added that the knowledge gained will support the development of Albania’s industrial capabilities.
According to Nufi, the experience will also contribute to the implementation of the joint Fincantieri Albania project in the Bay of Vlora naval base.
