Foreign tourists fill Durrës, praising beaches, hospitality and prices

TIRANA, August 10 – Durrës remains a popular choice for foreign tourists spending their summer holidays in Albania. Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a video today featuring visitors from Germany, the Netherlands, England, the Czech Republic, Italy and other countries. Rama said the city’s sea, history, culture and Albanian hospitality create a distinctive experience for visitors.

The tourists praised Durrës for its beaches, climate and welcoming atmosphere. One visitor described the beach as large and relaxing despite the high temperatures. Another said the city had left a positive impression, highlighting the weather, beach and friendly people. Meanwhile, other visitors praised Albanian hospitality and reasonable prices. One tourist said the food was good and inexpensive. Another highlighted the favourable prices and the willingness of local people to help.

For some visitors, Durrës also offers an escape from high temperatures elsewhere. A visitor from London compared Albania’s warm weather with the cooler conditions in England. Several tourists said they would recommend Albania to friends and family. Some also expressed their intention to return, praising Durrës as a destination worth visiting again.
