TIRANA, August 11 – A fire has reignited in Drenie, Mallakastër, on Tuesday. The flames have spread in the northern part of the fire zone towards Drenie village.
The National Civil Protection Agency said 2 Air Tractor aircraft are fighting the fire from the air. On the ground, 5 firefighting vehicles and 25 Fire Protection and Rescue personnel are taking part in the operation. Municipal forces have also deployed 15 personnel.
Ground crews face difficulties because of the steep terrain and the intensity of the fire. Meanwhile, operational forces continue efforts to contain the blaze and restore the situation to normal.
