Partial solar eclipse over Tirana; Moon to cover the Sun for 13 minutes

Moon will pass in front of the Sun and create a partial solar eclipse. Some parts of Europe will see a total eclipse. However, Tirana will see only a partial phase.

According to astronomical data for Tirana, the eclipse will begin at 19:31. It will reach its maximum 10 minutes later, at 19:41. The phenomenon will end at 19:44. The eclipse will last around 13 minutes in total.

At the maximum, the Moon will cover only a small part of the Sun’s disk. As a result, TIRANA will not experience the complete darkening of the sky seen along the path of totality.

19:41, the key time to watch the sky

For residents of TIRANA, 19:41 will be the main moment to watch the sky. The eclipse will reach its maximum at that time.

Meanwhile, the event will occur close to sunset. The view will therefore depend on visibility towards the horizon. An open location with few obstacles towards the west will offer better viewing conditions.

According to Timeanddate data, Tirana will see the eclipse only as a partial eclipse. The total phase will not be visible from the city.

Do not look directly at the Sun

The partial nature of the eclipse does not make direct viewing safe. Looking at the Sun without proper eye protection can cause serious eye damage. Ordinary sunglasses, cameras, binoculars and telescopes without special filters do not provide adequate protection.

For safe viewing, use certified eclipse glasses. Indirect projection methods also offer a safe way to observe the phenomenon.
