Armed Forces support firefighting operation in Kruja

TIRANA, August 13 – The Armed Forces are supporting firefighting operations in Abaze neighbourhood in Kruja. Their teams are helping protect residents and property.

Defence Minister Ermal Nufi said the personnel are working with other emergency structures to contain the flames. He said the Armed Forces remain ready to support civilian structures in areas affected by fires.

Meanwhile, operations are also underway in Lura, Mallakastër, Vau i Dejës and Mirdita. Teams are also operating in Priska, Daias and Farka.

Nufi praised firefighters, local emergency structures and Armed Forces personnel for their efforts. He said their intervention is helping authorities manage the situation nationwide. According to the minister, the fires currently pose no threat to residents’ lives or homes.

Operations continue to isolate and extinguish the remaining active fires. Protecting communities and property remains the priority.
