TIRANA, August 14 – Albania is experiencing high tourist flows this summer. Visitors have access to a wide calendar of cultural, artistic, sports and gastronomic activities.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a photo album today featuring major tourist destinations across the country. Alongside coastal resorts, visitors are showing growing interest in alpine and cultural tourism.
Meanwhile, Berat, Gjirokastër and Korça are attracting domestic and foreign tourists. Cultural and sports activities there combine with heritage, gastronomy and nature.
Tourists can also use the Tourism Events of Albania platform, known as TEA. The National Tourism Agency operates the digital platform. It lists events across different cities and destinations.
TEA helps visitors find art and music events, festivals, sports activities, gastronomy, local traditions and cultural experiences. The platform has also developed into a digital guide covering destinations, points of interest and tourism services.
According to UN Tourism, Albania now ranks among the countries with the highest tourist flows relative to population. The assessment combines the latest UN Tourism data with population statistics from the World Bank.
The figures show that visitors now significantly outnumber residents in Albania. The trend reflects the strong growth of the country’s tourism sector in recent years.
