Over 24,000 Passengers Travel Through Vlora Port Since June

Vlora Port has recorded a strong flow of passengers during the summer tourist season. The port serves both the ferry route between Vlora and Brindisi and cruise ships that bring visitors to the coastal city.

According to Port Captain Lorenc Rexhepaj, more than 45,000 passengers traveled on the Vlora–Brindisi–Vlora route between January 1 and August 12, 2026.

During this period, the port recorded 305 passenger-ship movements. These included 153 arrivals and 152 departures.

Arrivals brought 25,780 passengers, while departures carried 19,853 passengers.

The summer months recorded particularly strong activity. Between June 1 and August 12, Vlora Port registered 76 arrivals with 15,888 passengers and 75 departures with 8,332 passengers.

Overall, 24,220 passengers used the route during this period. This figure represents more than half of the total passenger traffic recorded since the beginning of the year.

Moreover, recent changes and the reconfiguration of Vlora Port have improved passenger and vehicle processing.

As a result, the port continues to play an important role in connecting Albania with Italy and supporting tourist travel during the summer season.
