TIRANA, August 18 – Young farmers have submitted 414 applications for investments under the 2026 National Support Scheme, according to the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development. Livestock and agricultural mechanization account for the main investment priorities.
Of the total, 223 applications seek funding to purchase animals. Another 164 applications cover agricultural machinery. The remaining 27 applications concern the construction or improvement of animal shelters.
Meanwhile, the figures show that livestock remains the main investment area for young farmers. Agricultural mechanization also has a significant role in efforts to increase farm efficiency and productivity. According to the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development, the investments aim to strengthen new farms, expand production capacity and support a more modern and competitive agricultural sector.
