TIRANA, August 20 – Thousands of Bektashi believers and visitors from Albania and other countries are gathering on Mount Tomorr this week for the traditional Kulmak Festival. Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the celebrations on social media, describing the event as one of the area’s most important spiritual and cultural traditions.
Meanwhile, the festival brings together believers, pilgrims and visitors at the higher elevations of Mount Tomor. For Bektashi believers, the event represents a time for prayer, reflection and spiritual unity. The celebrations also preserve long-standing cultural and community traditions.
The Kulmak Festival remains a tradition passed down through generations. As a result, Mount Tomor continues to attract visitors as one of Albania’s important pilgrimage destinations.
