As previously announced, Prime Minister Edi Rama will gather members of his cabinet this Monday for a government “retreat”, focusing on a review of the work carried out during the first part of his fourth term and on setting priorities for the new political season.

The government meeting comes one day after a gathering in Pogradec between Rama, the Socialist Party’s regional political leaders and the chairs of parliamentary committees. Sunday’s meeting lasted around seven hours and focused on the further organization of Socialist Party structures, as well as the documents known as “Besa” and “Prania Besnike”.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister also presented the “Unified Overview”, a mechanism which, according to him, will allow citizens to see the institutions and services connected to their requests.

Another topic discussed was a new way of handling citizens’ concerns. Rama compared the process to a “postal package” that could be tracked in real time, from the moment a request is submitted until it is addressed by the relevant institutions.

“The ambition is for every request, concern or problem raised by a citizen to function like a postal package that can be tracked in real time. Citizens can follow it, while the state, the government and institutions track their responsibilities, and every missed deadline is closely scrutinized,” Rama said.

During today’s retreat, each ministry is expected to present a review of its work, the results achieved, existing problems and the tasks that remain to be completed.

Before the meeting began, the Prime Minister also shared a photo from Lake Pogradec, accompanied by a message wishing everyone a good week.
