Visitors are enjoying the natural beauty of the Vjosa River, one of Albania’s most valuable natural treasures.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the river, showing its clear waters and surrounding landscapes. Visitors can also be seen along the riverbanks, enjoying the summer heat and cooling off in the water.
Known as one of Europe’s last wild rivers, the Vjosa continues to attract both local and international visitors. Its untouched nature, unique waters and spectacular landscapes make it an increasingly popular destination for nature tourism.
In 2023, UNESCO added Vjosa River National Park to its World Network of Biosphere Reserves. The park became Europe’s first national park dedicated to a wild river.
Today, the Vjosa offers visitors a different kind of summer experience. Instead of crowded beaches, travelers can explore the river, enjoy its natural surroundings and experience one of Europe’s most remarkable wild landscapes.
