Albania’s EU membership remains the country’s main foreign policy priority, Foreign Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha said following the government’s seminar in Pogradec.
Hoxha said Albania will accelerate its diplomatic efforts and maintain a clear focus on the EU accession process.
He also highlighted stronger regional cooperation as a key priority, aiming to support a more stable, connected and sustainable Western Balkans closer to Europe.
The government plans to modernize and simplify consular services, making them faster and more accessible to citizens.
Hoxha also announced further reforms to the Foreign Service, with a focus on professionalism, merit and a stronger diplomatic corps.
He said Albanian diplomacy will also work to strengthen the country’s international image, expand economic and trade links, build new partnerships and create more opportunities for citizens.
“A European Albania also requires European diplomacy,” Hoxha said.
